Triple Bill: Piazzolla Tango Quintet, Taupe, Bungalow Road

To open this triple bill, the classic tango line-up of piano, guitar, double bass, accordion and violin plays music by the great Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla, whose work spans the space between the dance hall and the concert hall.

Taupe are a guitar, saxophone & drum trio specialising in blending detailed composition, improvisation, electronics and tight irregular rhythms.

South African music in its many forms features in Bungalow Road’s original repertoire, incorporating signature syncopated guitar riffs and energetic vocal, horn & percussion arrangements.
