Massed Brass Bands

We continue our successful series of Massed Brass Band Concerts with the united bands of Reg Vardy, NASUWT Riverside and Shepherd Group once again under the musical direction of Ray Farr.

Ninety top brass and percussion players will be on stage performing a programme of popular brass classics, virtuoso showpieces and entertaining features and show pieces including ‘Olympic March’, ‘Jupiter’ and a taste of Latin-American music with ‘Libertango’ and ‘West Side Story’.

The soloist for the afternoon will be the amazing saxophone virtuoso Rob Buckland who will perform several popular items from his repertory accompanied by brass band. This unusual combination promises to be a most exciting collaboration.
